love mhb studio is a needlepoint canvas design studio that loves bold graphics, strong type, and beautiful letterforms. And ALL the color!

The short version of how love mhb studio came to be is that after working in print magazine design for Teen Vogue and Martha Stewart's Everyday Food magazine, my husband and I decided to start a family and I was able to stay home with my babies. Those babies grew up fast, and after ushering them into the teen years I found myself with degrees in magazine journalism and graphic design, and a good amount of time on my hands. I cross-stitched for several decades before turning to the portability of needlepoint (hello school pick-up line car stitching!)

I started designing canvases and posting them on Instagram in the winter of 2022. They were a big hit and I started to think I might be able to make a go of it. With the support of my family, friends, and many shop owners, designers and stitchers, I launched love mhb studio in the spring of 2023.

I named my company love mhb studio because needlepoint is a gift. Whether you stitch a canvas for yourself or someone else, there's meaning behind the canvas choice and the labor of love put into stitching and finishing it. love mhb studio canvases are a gift from me to you. From you to its recipient. Loved all along the way.
